About Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu
Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu for 17 years now has been inspiring people and promoting among them the idea of life long education, personal development and introducing changes. We specialize in all aspects related to marketing, management, and human resources management. Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu - partner for the go-getters
  • OSB established the very first in Olsztyn Nauczycielskie Kolegium Języków Obcych (Teacher's Traning College), providing language courses in English and German. After completing students their studies obtain the certificate enabling them to teach a foreign language in any type of a school, except for higher education institutions. The students learn also English or German as a second language.
  • OSB initiated and organizes the quality competition called Top Mazur, which helps to identify and promote the best firms from the Warminsko-Mazurskie region. The competition is held regularly. Its first edition took place in 2000. In 2004 we were granted an award by the Marshall the Warminsko-Mazurskie Voivodship, for our input in the promotion of the achievements of the local market and its development.
  • OSB organizes Forum Gospodarcze (Business Forum) gathering the representatives of business and government. During regular meetings participants discuss socially or economically important topics, such the Polish economy, employment, management.
  • OSB co-operates with public administration both while preparing and providing courses for civil servants and organizing personal training sessions and programs for regional development.
  • OSB co-operates with employers during training sessions in interpersonal skills, management, marketing and promotion, finances and accounting, consumer rights, law in general, developing business activity, in particular e-commerce.
  • We are experienced in implementing PHARE projects (editions 2000, 2002 and 2003) that were aimed at elaborating local employment partnerships, organising training for the unemployed from the rural areas and local employers.
  • Since March 2006 OSB has been a member of Polska Izba Firm Szkoleniowych (the Polish Chamber for Training Firms).

  • It is the founder of The Institute of Research and Analyses which came into being on the basis of the long-standing experience in the realization of analytical and training research projects on the part of Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu
Within the framework of the European Social Fund we implement the following projects:
  • Within the e-competence network". Training courses for the unemployed disabled of the Nowe Miasto region
The aim of the project is improving the professional activity of the disabled in the Nowe Miasto region. It is also upgrading the disabled persons` competence as far as making use of information technology necessary for performing one`s profession is concerned, especially in the areas adjusted to various forms of tele-work. Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu realizes this project in partnership with the district authorities in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, within the framework of the contract signed with the regional employment bureau.
  • "Good practices without barriers - social economy for the disabled"
The aim of the above mentioned project - social economy for the disabled - is the exchange of experience and promoting the best practices gained within the framework of PIW EQUAL, theme D, and providing conditions for facilitating the transfer of knowledge that Pro-Progress Partnerships definitely have via: initiating an interactive portal dedicated to the needs of the disabled and conducting training courses aimed at presenting the results and the best practices developed by partnerships, at the same time corres- ponding to the specific needs of the disabled. The project is realized by The Institute of Research and Analyses of Olsztyńska Szkoła Biznesu in partnership with The Nida Foundation for Development, The Regional Centre of Social Politics in Cracow and the Association for The Regional Co-operation from Ruda Slaska.

Within the framework of the European Social Fund we have already implemented the following projects:

Both Projects were of the educational character. They were aimed at compensating the opportunities for young people from grammar schools threatened with social exclusion. The students, thanks to participating in training sessions, workshops and camps, got the possibility of discovering their potential, talents, perspectives for the future development, and on the local labour market.
  • Handicap plus. The research and study of the problems of disabled people living in the Warminsko-Mazurskie region
The project was focused on the research among the disabled, the employers and local authorities aimed at analyzing the problems related to disability in general, defining the most important barriers in hiring the disabled, and identifying and assessing the forms of the exisiting system of support for the disabled.
  • Mazur. Training program for the SMEs from Warminsko-Mazurskie region.
  • Modern methods in management of commerce in the cooperatives.
The projects were addressesd to SMEs and big companies, helping to develop qualifications of the employees thanks to the training programs related to customer service, sales techniques, financial management instruments, marketing strategies, ICT.

  • Potential Plus - research of the hidden potential of the local labour market
The objective of the project was to prepare a diagnostic of the local labour market needs, defining the dynamics of the changes, evaluation of the level of adequacy of the human capital and the training system for the requirements and needs of the local labour market, constructing the model of communication between the key actors of the local labour market.
